Michael Walker, MD

Medical Director, Cataract and LASIK Surgeon

DR. MICHAEL WALKER specializes in laser vision correction, intraocular refractive procedures, cataract surgery, and corneal transplantation using the most advanced technology available today.

Dr. Walker earned his medical degree from the nation’s oldest medical school and member of the Ivy League, the University of Pennsylvania. After graduation, he stayed at Penn for an internship and residency in ophthalmology. He then completed his training at the world-renowned Johns Hopkins University with a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery.

A native of Colorado, Dr. Walker earned his undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado before moving to Maryland where he met his wife, Lisa. They loved the climate and people of the San Joaquin Valley in Fresno, but had always dreamed of living in the Big Horn Mountain Range. Now that they’ve moved their menagerie of horses and cats, they enjoy spending time outdoors on their local horse ranch.

Dr. Walker’s philosophy is to provide his patients with proven technology and the widest array of refractive procedures available, including LASIK, Photorefractive Keratectomy/Advanced Surface Ablation (PRK/ASA), phakic intraocular lens implantation (“implantable contact lens”), refractive lens exchange, and astigmatic keratotomy. His skill provides a level of accuracy, safety, customer service and patient satisfaction that is truly world class.
